Plug it in

Two lines of client settings: the proxy address, and your Linklbee key in a header. No other code changes; your vendor key stays as it is.

import os
from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    # client setting 1 of 2: proxy address
    base_url="http://localhost:18090/v1",
    # client setting 2 of 2: your Linklbee key, in a header
    default_headers={"X-Linklbee-Api-Key": os.environ["LINKLBEE_API_KEY"]},
) # vendor key stays as is

client.chat.completions.create(
    model="gpt-5.6-terra",
    messages=[...],
)
# response header X-Linklbee-Route: diff | full | passthrough ...

Three steps

  • Create a key on the dashboard. It is shown once.
  • Point base_url at the proxy.
  • Send the key in X-Linklbee-Api-Key.

Measurement and billing

  • Control documents (10% by default) are handled the old way, exactly as today: no extra calls. Comparing them with the rest is how savings are measured.
  • Their cost is on your own vendor invoice, so you can check the savings yourself.
  • There is no charge up to the free tier. Above it, we take only a share of the measured savings. In any month when the measured savings are smaller than our fee, we do not bill.
